TOUCH OF LACE
MATERIALS NEEDED:
Size 18 month jumper, Jamie brand baby yarn in white, F hook or hook to obtain gauge, 1\4” wide ribbon about 34” long (color of your choice), needle and thread.
GAUGE: 1 3\4” wide and 32” long. You can wide by rep row 3 & 4 and then continuing with pattern. Or you can make longer adding in multiples of 5 (ch).
LACE:
ROW 1: With yarn and F hook ch-182, sc 2nd ch from hook, sc ea ch across, ch-1, turn. (181 sts)
ROW 2: * Sc next st, ch-5, sk 4 sts, * rep bet ** across, ending with sc last st, ch-1, turn.
ROW 3: * Dc next st, ch-5, * rep bet ** across, ending with dc in last st, ch-1, turn.
ROW 4: * Sc next st, ch-5, * rep bet ** across, ending with sc in last st, ch-1, turn.
ROW 5: * Sc next st, (6 trc next st), * rep bet ** across, ending with sc last st, fasten off.
Weave ribbon over and under dc in row 3. With needle and matching thread, tack ribbon on sts that don’t show to hold in place.
Sew across bottom of jumper.
