This week's free vintage patterns is for this White Cardigan (they call it a saque) and matching booties all with ribbon trim. You can find the pattern here.
Enjoy!
Here is a vintage pattern from my collection: Yellow Baby Cardigan and Mittens Set. It is a vintage crochet pattern so the yarns they call for may be out of production, but as along as you know the weight it is easy to find a modern yarn to work with.
Enjoy!
Here is a great pattern that will work for either a boy or a girl!
I believe the pattern is from the late 50's and features a super cute cardigan in 2 colors as well as a tam style hat, baseball hat, booties and mittens.
Remember with vintage patterns the terms may be a little different that what you are use to, but for the most part they can be figured out. Also the brands and types of yarns called for may not still be made, but if you pay attention to the weight of the yarn called for you can easily find a substitute.
The free vintage pattern from my collection is called: "Mardi Gras" Afghan. It is a simple block afghan that goes together to create a cute color block design with star like inserts. I really like this one. You may not realize it by looking at it, but it is a fairly versatile design.
How about dark blue for the background, light blue for the pink and yellow for the star-like inserts to make it look like the night sky. Add snowflake appliques to the light blue and you have a winter wonderland afgahn!
This vintage crochet pattern is great for baby. It makes no difference if it is going to be for a boy or a girl, with this pattern you can find something to make.
There are 3 baby jackets, 2 baby bonnets and one bib in this pattern.
I think it is from the late forties.
Always remember with vintage patterns the yarns called for are usually not available so checking for gauge with the yarn you do use is necessary to getting the correct size.

Here is the latest Free Vintage Pattern: Instant Fashion Coat
It is a knit pattern.
I love it, I actually took a knitting class recently so I could eventually make this. Slow going, still haven't gotten the hang of knitting and pearling. It would help if I could figure out how to hold my yarn while I'm knitting. I need to hold it in my opposite hand from when I crochet and every new row I knit I need to figure out how to hold it all over again!
Enjoy!
Here is the first of my weekly pair of vintage patterns
It is a knit pattern and for a cardigan/blouse.
Hope you like it.
I'm working on adding more photos to my vintage pattern site so you can see exactly what is in the booklet/collections that I've posted. Who wants to download a pdf if you can see all you're getting? Not me.

I call this one Cover Page Romper just because it is the romper on the cover of the book I got this pattern from. It is knit and not crochet this time, but cute with all those snaps.
I hope you like it!
