This is lovely. I have very little space so the size will be great. I think I'll use large sequins for decorations to make it sparkle. Thanks for sharing!

When and where do you use the stuffing?

Oh no, I did leave when to stuff the tree out didn't I?
Boy my face is red.
You begin stuffing the tree as you decrease it toward the top. Stuff some, decrease some more, stuff, etc until the tree is stuffed and closed at the top.
Sorry, Donna

Round 4 should have 24 stitchs, not 27.

From the photo, I expected this to be a challenge to my novice-intermediate skills, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was quick and easy. I was able to complete it in the "spare time" of a busy weekend.
Thanks so much.

I made a little tree like this years ago but have lost the pattern. I was thrilled to find yours! Just one question; could this be slipped over a styrofoam cone instead of being stuffed? Thanks!

I don't understand i did do the front loops but they were inside the tree and i could't turn it inside out what am i doing wrong

The tree is worked all in one piece with the edging added after it has been completed.
I'm not sure what you mean by the edging worked to your wrong side. As written there should only be left-over lps on rnd 14, 18, 22, 26, 30, 34 and 38. All should be in the same direction--to the front of you piece--this is also what makes it the front.
How about this: with a small amount of contrasting colored yarn mark each each of the rnds mentioned above. Just pull a small loop through any random stitch on each rnd: 14, 18, 22, 26, 30, 34 and 38. This will be the right side of your tree. With this side out, go back to each marked row and work the edging.
I hope this helps!

When working the edging, is the point (top) of the tree facing you or pointing away from you? I figured facing you since the 'right' side of the edging stitch would then be out (not against the tree) and the natural curl of the stitches would flare upwards instead of into the tree.

Also, I think the edging would be neat in white as if touched by snow.

Great overall pattern.

The tree is facing toward you.
I think the white idea would look lovely. Then you can give it a kiss of glitter and really have it look like snow!
