Trophy Afghan Free Vintage Crochet Pattern

This afghan is called Trophy and is a vintage pattern from my own collection. You can find the pattern HERE. It is a pattern in the public domain and as such I believe should always be made free. So if you every come across a vintage pattern you're thinking of buying, please google it first, you may be able to find it free some place else.

The afghan measures 50" X 72" and calls for Red Heart yarn which is still widely available so you shouldn't have any problems in making this afghan.

I like how the chevron pattern is broken up with a multi colored yarn. I don't know about you, but I always struggle to use that type of yarn. It looks so good in the skein, but often doesn't look as lovely once you have crochet it.

Enjoy!

Free Crochet Pattern Large Stars & Stripes Afghan

Here is a free afghan pattern I really like. I call it Large Stars & Stripes. You can see why.
The afghan is worked in sections and then the entire thing is sewn together.
The colors used are navy, claret, soft white and cornmeal.

The center was designed and then all the other elements were added.
                                                                            Enjoy!

Free Afghan Pattern Too Many Pinks and Too Many Blues From Donna's Crochet Designs

I never realized there were so many baby blue and baby pink yarns out there until I tried to help my mom find the "perfect" one.  I thought it would be fun to try and combine as many as I could in an afghan. I used fun fur yarn to tie all the blocks together. I hope you like it. Too Many Pinks and Too Many Blues Afghan

Free Crochet Pattern Butterfly and Flowers Afghan

Here it the second pattern for this week.  I call it Butterfly and Flowers Afghan.  You make the background adding the pop corn stitch darker blue accents then go back and add the butterflies and flowers.  The butterflies and flowers can be a great excuse to use some of those left over yarns you've been holding on to!

All my free patterns are now available as a pdf download and you can also see just the written pattern if you like!

Free Crochet Pattern Stripe Blocks & Flowers Afghan

I've been so busy so busy re-doing my free pattern site I've forgotten to post about this week's free pattern.
It's a light weight afghan perfect for snuggling under on cool nights.  I call it Stripe Blocks and Flowers Afghan.  The blocks are crocheted separately and then sewn together alternating their direction so its a great take along project.

While you're there check out all the changes I've made to the site.  There are faster page loads, pdfs of almost all my patterns (I still have a few to go!) and you can still see the written pattern if you want. (That's a pet peeve of mine by the way.  I hate being forced to download a pdf just to look over a pattern that I may or may not want.)

Enjoy!
