The free vintage pattern from my collection is called: "Mardi Gras" Afghan. It is a simple block afghan that goes together to create a cute color block design with star like inserts. I really like this one. You may not realize it by looking at it, but it is a fairly versatile design.
How about dark blue for the background, light blue for the pink and yellow for the star-like inserts to make it look like the night sky. Add snowflake appliques to the light blue and you have a winter wonderland afgahn!www.donnascrochetdesigns.com
