Wasist Basket Cover Free Crochet Pattern
MATERIALS:
Red Heart Kids yarn in Beach, H crochet hook, 9 Qt\8.5 L wastebasket (measurements for the one I used: 26-1\2” around the outside top of wastebasket and 24” around the outside bottom) and craft glue.
COVER:
RND 1: With yarn and H hook ch-96, sl st to form a ring, ch-1, sc in ea ch around, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (96 sts)
RND 2: Sc in 1st st, * ch-4, sk next 3 sts, sc next st, * rep bet ** around ending with ch-4, sk 3 sts, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (25 loops made)
RND 3-24: Sc 1st st ch-4 lp(loop), * ch-4, sc next lp, * rep bet ** around ending with ch-4, sl st top beg sc, ch-1, turn. (24 lps)
RND 25: Work 5 sc in ea lp around, sl st top beg sc, fasten off. (120 sts)
FINISHING:
Place crochet piece around wastebasket with rnd 1 at the bottom of the wastebasket and rnd 25 at the top. Stretch to fit wastebasket and glue to hold in place. You may want to use tape to hold the cover in place as it dries.

what kind of glue do you use to attach it? would a hot glue gun work? thanks for sharing this awesome pattern!
