Three Free Pumpkin Themed Crochet Patterns

I just wanted to share a few of my pumpkin or fall patterns. The first is Mr. Pumpkin Man. If made of worsted weight yarn he stands 9" tall, but use size 10 crochet thread and you get a mini 3-1/2" tall doll. You can find the free crochet pattern here.

This pattern is for a fall garland, There are leaves of burgundy, cornmeal and sage combined with cute stuffed pumpkins. All made with worsted weight yarns. You can find the free crochet pattern here.

Free Crochet Pattern Child Size Romper, Hat and Purse Set

 This week's free pattern is for a Romper, Hat and Purse Set in child sizes 12 month, 18 month and 24 month with hook change.  The pattern is here.

 Purse and hat both feature a lovely ribbon, knotted bow.

 The Romper uses snap tape sewn to romper's crotch for easy diaper access. The snap tape is found at fabric stores and is bought by the yard. It is much stronger than sewn in snaps due to the twill tape they are attached to which allows the romper to stand up to many opening and closings.

 There is a photo tutorial on how to make the knotted bow used in this pattern.

Center Rings sandals. You can find the pattern here. It was made using size 5 DMC threads and is shown with soles attached to flip flop doles.

These sandals are in Green and Cream Lion Brand suede yarn so they are super soft to the touch. You can find the pattern for these sandals here.  The sandals feature a heel in bank and ankle strap.

These brown sandals feature a ring in its design and is made with size 5 DMC thread. You can find the pattern here.The instructions are in 3 sizes: adult small, medium and large.

Free Crochet Pattern Black and White Check Scarf

This is an easy pattern. The check design is achieved by a line of black stitches with V loops alternating between the bands of white. At the end, the loops are inserted one into another to form vertical lines of black.

I used a sport weight yarn to make the scarf to keep it lighter and easier to be worn.

Great gift for the guys in your life. Or do it up in a teenagers school colors for a bit of school pride.

Pearl Drop Beads Necklace Free Crochet Pattern

This is a very straight forward pattern. You thread your beaded onto the crochet thread and then chain, slide a bead, chain.  The drops of are a series of chain/bead and then slip stitch to make the loop.

Great pattern for the beginner who only knows how to chain!

            MATERIALS:

            138 size 5 mm Off White pearl beads, 38 size E glass Blue beads, 5 wire and bead in blue and silver, Ecru size 10 crochet thread, size 7 crochet hook and large eye beading needle.

            FINISHED SIZE: 18”

NECKLACE:

            With beading needle thread: 52 pearls, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 1 wired bead, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 2 blue, 4 pearl, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 2 blue, 1 wired bead, 2 pearl, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 2 blue, 4 pearl, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 1 wired bead, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 2 blue, 4 pearl, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 2 blue, 1 wired bead, 2 pearl, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 2 blue, 4 pearl, 2 blue, 2 pearl, 1 wired bead, 2 blue, 2 pearls, 2 blue, 50 pearl, remove beading needle.

Fleece Poodle Scarf Pattern From My Crochet Poodle Scarf Pattern

This the Poodle's face, hair, muzzle, ears, eyes, nose and tongue are all glued on with no-sew glue to keep the scarf totally washable.
The scarf it's self, legs and tail are all sewn with a machine.

Several photo tutorials are included in the pattern: How to attached the cut fleece that make's the Poodle's fur, how to put the legs together, how to layer the head as well as how to make French knots in the eyes.

I think I did a good job translating the crochet Poodle scarf into fleece.

Dog with Fleas Go To The Circus Play Set Free Crochet Pattern

 This is the second in my Dog with Fleas Play Set Series. It is called: Dog with Fleas Go To The Circus! The same dog is the carrying case for the play set.

 The dog carrying case opens to reveal a pop up red and white striped circus tent.

 There is a cannon and a ring of "fire".

 Flea Ring Master.

 Flea Clown.

The ring master also doubles as the strong man.

Dog with Fleas Play Set Free Crochet Pattern

This time the free pattern is for a play set I call: Dog with Fleas.The carrying case for the play set is a dog. It opens to reveal a pop up farm house and garden. There is a poppa farmer and momma flea and as many baby fleas as you care to make. Each baby flea has a wagon to be pulled in. Farmer and momma flea have bendable arms/legs that are chenille stems.

Free Baby Dress. Hat and Purse Set Crochet Pattern

 This week's free pattern is for a little girl's dress size 12 month, 18 month and 24 month.

 The dress features a rounded collar that is sewn to the dress and a matching center stripe that is crochet into the dress. Sugar 'N Cream yarns were used to make the set. You can find the pattern here.

 The dress opens in back and uses snaps to close it. The main body of the dress was done in a light tan or ecru color. The accent yarn for the collar, stripe, purse and hat is a multi-color yarn with white, yellow and browns.

 There is a pattern for a matching draw string purse so the little lady can go out in style.

A matching hat is also included in the pattern.

Free Vintage Crochet Pattern Hat and Pinwheel Purse

Here is a vintage pattern from my own collection. It is from the 1930's and is a hat and matching pinwheel purse. The pattern calls for Gimp which is not longer available but I've found that worsted weight (#4) yarn works well in its place.

Baby Doll Bed or Carrier Free Crochet Pattern

 This week's free pattern is one I designed a while ago. It was when JoAnns first came out those large skeins of boucle yarn that self stripes as you crochet it. I wanted to make something that took the entire skein of yarn and came up with this doll bed or carrier. You can find the pattern here.

 Here is a picture with large 3 month size baby doll in the bed. You can see the braided handle laying across the doll's body.

You will also need Pound of Love yarn to make the mattress and pillow, siez H hook, needle to take yarns, stuffing and some cardboard.The measurements are: Mattress: 11” (widest point across) X 18” and 1-1\4” thick; Pillow: 8” X 8”; Carrier: 14” X 20” and 5-1\2” deep.

Pop Tab Stuffed Lion Free Crochet Pattern

 This little guy stands 9" tall and has a pop tab mane. You can find the pattern here.

 Felt make the eyes and nose and are glued on to the lion's face.

It takes 75 pop tabs to created the lion's mane and its tail.

Stars Afghan Free Crochet Pattern

 This weeks free crochet pattern is for this Star Afghan.

 The afghan is based on a series of blocks sewn togher and then edged. Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight yarns are used to make this afghan.

The stars are formed as you crochet the blocks.
